Simon Beddoe is a trumpet/flugel horn player, composer and teacher based in South London. He studied jazz at the Leeds College of Music and graduated in 2003. Simon now lectures and coordinates the events management module at the Leeds College of Music.
Simon has worked with many critically acclaimed groups and artists. He has toured professionally with various ensembles throughout the world and has played all the major UK festivals and venues.
Simon, or ‘Bobby’ as many call him, has received international acclaim for his work with groundbreaking electronica group Submotion Orchestra for whom he composes and plays brass. Submotion Orchestra have recorded 3 EP’s and 4 Albums with a 5th soon to be announced on Counter Records (Ninja Tune).
Simon has worked on a number of theatre productions most notably ‘CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF’ at the West Yorkshire Playhouse directed by Sarah Esdaile. He has also composed and directed/produced for Leeds Transform festival.
